What's the difference between Kimkins and other diets?
Traditional diets like Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig are based on high carbs and low calories. Atkins and South Beach are based on medium carbs and medium calories.
In addition, Atkins and South Beach allow fiber and sugar alcohol subtraction which can make long term weight loss extremely frustrating.
Kimkins is low carb, low calorie with no fiber or sugar alcohol subtraction to quickly shed excess pounds!
This is especially helpful for members with mobility problems due to morbid obesity or diabetics who desire to no longer need their medications, as many of our type 2 members have.
What kind of food will I eat?
The nutritional focus for Kimkins is non-fatty protein with very low carb veggies and creates a thermogenic dynamo! Some members may prefer our vegetarian or protein shake options, too.
Will I need special supplements or other items to purchase?
Not at all! Naturally we encourage a good daily multivitamin, but that's it.
Some members do their own research and decide to take additional supplements, but that's purely optional. The Kimkins diet only requires basic protein and veggies you'll find at your local market. Pure and simple. No pills, powders or gadgets required!
I'm hypothyroid. Will Kimkins work for me?
You bet! Kimmer created the diet and is severly hypothyroid. In fact, she says if she stops taking her thyroid medication, her TSH level shoots to 128! She lost 198 lbs in 11 months.
When will I eat fruit, bread, rice, potatoes and other high carb foods again?
When you're close to goal weight, then you'll begin adding back small portions of fruit, whole grains and other starches you desire. As you practice adding back smaller amounts, you'll find your Carb & Calorie Equilibrium for lifetime maintenance success.
